I thought about it a little then I remembered one of my favorite games, FF8, also has scaled enemies. I think it's the only rpg I've played where leveling up actually hurts your chances of progressing. This is not the way I want to play this game or any rpg for that matter.Īnd maybe that's just the way FFT is, modded or not. Or maybe I could have turned everyone into a calculator by that time but that to me would have been just as reprehensible. I got up to Zeakdon Fort and quit shortly after I realized the only way to win was to turn everyone into a black mage and spam mjollrn on Algus. In 1.3 I was looking forward to being able to play through the game with a regular party of a couple fighters, some mages, and a healer. I like to play through them in such a way that isn't 'cheap' and 'game breaking'. I guess the biggest problem I have with 1.3 is just my personal preference when it comes to playing strategy games. It was fun and challenging at the beginning but the level of difficulty eventually gets to the point of being absurd. I was really looking forward to playing this hack but I have to say it was a huge disappointment. What's New in Version 1.3.0.8 ( See full changelog) Enemies now have alot more JP to learn strong abilities with.
